Mr. Adeyemi John Adetayo was born on the 25th of February, 1963. He attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria between 1986 and 1988, where he obtained B.Sc. (Hons.) in Accounting. Having worked with two Chartered Accountant Firms (1991 to 1993), he joined Lagos State Public Service as an Accountant at Lagos State Treasury Office (STO), Accountant General Office, to begin his Civil Service career from 1994 till October 2003, when he was transferred to the Office of Works, Ministry of Works and Infrastructure between 2003 to 2006, after which he was posted to head Accounts Department, Office of Auditor General for Local Government between 2006 to 2010, where he rose to the position of Chief Accountant, before been redeployed to Lagos State AIDs Control Agency, Governor’s Office between 2010 and 2013, where he became Assistant Director.
Thereafter he was posted to Local Government Service Commission, January 2014 to January 2017, where he rose to the position of Deputy Director. He was redeployed to Ministry of Finance as Director of Accounts between January and March 2017, and again was posted to Ministry of Home Affairs, March 2017 to September 2017. He was posted to Lagos State Public Works Corporation in September 2017 as Director of Accounts, a position he holds till date.
He became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN) in October 1998 and, a member of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) in November 2000.
He has over 25 years Public Service experience interfacing with members of the public at various Ministries, Departments and Agencies to achieve an efficient service delivery of Government Policies in respect of the provision, supervision and delivery of Accountancy services.
He is happily married with kids.
