ENGR DARAMOLA OLUFEMI OLUBUNMI (BSc. MNSE. COREN.)
GENERAL MANAGER, LAGOS STATE PUBLIC WORKS CORPORATION
Engr. Olufemi Olubunmi Daramola was
born on the 20th of April 1970. He attended University of Lagos between 1985
and 1990 where he obtained Bsc
(Hons) Civil Engineering. He began his career as a Site Engineer at Lagos
State Public Works Corporation (LSPWC) between 1995 and 1997 thereafter,
he rose to the position of Head of Asphalt Plant of the Corporation, a position he held between 1997 and 2003.
Between 2003 and 2011, he rose to the position of Chief Engineer in the
Ministry of Works and Infrastructure where he successfully coordinated
activities of subordinates to ensure proper and effective supervision of
projects awarded in the Ministry. He attained the position of an Assistant Director between 2011 and 2013 at the Ministry of Transportation where he supervised construction and provision of Road Infrastructure and furniture appropriate for Transport &Traffic Management Control.
He also designed Transport System Management measures to reduce Traffic congestion and gridlock. After his successful service tour at the Ministry of Transportation, he returned to the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure in 2013 as an Assistant Director and subsequently Head of Road Construction Department, the position he held untill he was appointed the General Manager of the Lagos State Public Works Corporation.
He is a member of professional bodies
which include Council for Regulation of
Engineering in Nigeria (9393), Nigeria Society of Engineers (14126).
He has over 24 years public service
experience interfacing with members of
the public at various Ministries, Departments and Agencies to achieve an
efficient delivery of projects, services as well as
supervision of road and transport infrastructure across Lagos State.
He is happily married with kids.
